The Director of the Department of Airspace Control (DECEA) is responsible for the publication of the AIP Brasil.

The AIP is prepared in accordance with the Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPS) of Annex 15 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation and the Aeronautical Information Services Manual (ICAO Doc. 8126). Charts included in the AIP are produced in accordance with Annex 4 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation and the Aeronautical Chart Manual (ICAO Doc. 8697). Differences from ICAO Standards, Recommended Practices and Procedures are given in subsection GEN 1.7.

The Aeronautical Information Service (AIS) products are made available in
electronic format
on the AISWEB website (https://aisweb.decea.mil.br/).

The AIP forms part of the integrated aeronautical package, details of which are given in subsection GEN 3.1. The principal AIP structure is shown bellow in graphic form.
The AIP is made up of three parts, General (GEN), En Route (ENR) and Aerodromes (AD) , each divided into sections and subsections as applicable, containing various types of information subjects. |

The AIP amendments shall be issued at regular intervals of 28 days. The publication dates shall be according to the AIRAC system.

The aeronautical information publications are produced by DECEA (DEPARTMENT OF AIRSPACE CONTROL), in accordance with stardands, methods and techniques that ensure data accuracy, which is, indispensable for the Flight safety. To preserve the reliability, quality and efficiency of its Flight Information Service, the Aeronautical Command will not be responsible for the use of copies or reproductions of aeronautical information published by DECEA, as well as Aerodrome Charts, Approach Charts and Departure Charts, included in AIP-MAP manual.
